Point Resources is a mid-sized, independent, exploration and production company focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (‘NCS’). The company has an attractive, diverse portfolio of production, near term development and exploration assets that are considered to offer substantial growth potential. It has interests in three producing fields: Snorre, Brage and Bøyla. It also has several significant discoveries in its portfolio including Bauge, Pil & Bue, Brasse and Garantiana. The company’s reserves and contingent resources are currently in excess of 156 mmboe and production average for 2016 was 6,400 boe/d.
Point Resources was formed in early 2016 following the merger of Pure E&P (previously Rocksource), Core Energy and Spike Exploration. Point’s management team has experience in all phases of the oil field lifecycle from prospect to production. It has extensive industry contacts and experience of all parts of the NCS spanning more than two decades, with team members averaging more than 25 years of E&P experience. The management and technical teams at Point have developed an attractive portfolio of production and development assets and have a highly successful track record of exploration on the NCS. The team’s proven technical and commercial experience and expertise are now being used to grow Point, both organically and inorganically, into a scalable size. The company’s offices are in Oslo and Stavanger.
Point Resources has a robust capital base with backing from Europe’s leading private equity firm in the oil and gas sector, HitecVision, and efficient reserve based lending and exploration financing structures in place with a syndicate of international banks.
Point Resources believes that the NCS remains a highly attractive province with vast resource potential. The company’s aim is to continue to develop Point Resources into a leading exploration and production company focused on the NCS with a balanced portfolio of strong production, valuable development projects and an active exploration programme.
